FLY-IN SURGERY PROGRAM"
for patients that are travelling from out of town or out of the country.
We understand that your patients are the most important asset to your practice. We also understand how it may not be possible for them to receive all ideal treatment options in the location of your practice or at least not in a timely manner.
From our experience, we've noticed that patients are willing to travel to almost any destination if they believe that the treatment they will receive will be of outstanding quality and will meet or exceed their esthetic demands when clinically possible.
This prompted our office to create our "FLY-IN SURGERY PROGRAM", for these very special patients of yours, who seek an esthetically oriented, evidence based & superior quality treatment, in a timely manner.
Through this program we establish a close relationship with the referring colleague and we continue to monitor the patient even after he/she has traveled back to their home location.
2-4 Easy Steps in FLY-IN PROGRAM
STEP 1: Referring your Patient
The referring Dental Professional sends to our office the data he/she has collected on the patient, i.e. Models, Xrays, Clinical Photos, CT Scan, Probing chart, Radiographic Stent, Referring letter (you can use our ONLINE REFERRAL page).
If we can get all this information by the referring colleague, then we can potentially skip STEP 2 and proceed immediately to STEP 3 after Dr. Irinakis has had a phone consultation with the patient.
If you cannot send all -or any- of this information, then the ONLINE REFERRAL will be adequate and we'll take care of the rest during our next Step.
STEP 2: "FLY-IN VISIT" Consultation & Data Collection
Our office makes arrangements with your patient regarding scheduling their FIRST appointment in our office. We ensure that their first experience is truly pleasant and install confidence in the choice you've made for them. We also prepare them of potential costs of this FIRST visit depending on what takes place.
During this appointment we wish to examine the patient, collect all necessary data, and present a Complete Treatment Plan & Estimate to the patient on the SAME DAY.
If the patient prefers, we can even arrange for STEP 4 to take place during this SAME TRIP, although extensive phone consultation will be necessary.
STEP 3: "FLY-IN VISIT" Surgery Day
During this visit, Dr. Irinakis will proceed with your patient's recommended, evidence based and esthetically oriented procedure. Your patient will receive the highest standard of care, that may involve implant and/ or bone grafting and/or gingival grafting surgery.
We even offer Sinus Lift procedures for dentists who place their own implants (though we recommend that patients stay in town for the short recovery period).
You will be fully informed in writing of all stages of the treatment planned and delivered to your patient, thus ensuring a smooth relationship between our practices and an uneventful recovery for your patient.
STEP 4: Post-operative patient care
If your patient does not remain in the city for a few days to be seen by Dr. Irinakis, then our office will make arrangements for your patient's postop care to be either closely monitored by yourself (with constant advice, communication and guidance from Dr. Irinakis) or via a local colleague that Dr. Irinakis will refer to.
